About this product

The Pride Mobility Rubber Threshold Ramp bridges a door sill, a sliding door track or a single low step so a scooter, power chair or wheelchair can roll through without a jolt. It is modular: each rise is built from stacked rubber sections that lock together with a hidden dovetail, so the height can be matched to the threshold in 12.5 mm (half inch) increments up to 100 mm (4 in). The rated load is 385 kg.

The rubber is slip-resistant and needs no maintenance; it can stay in place outdoors. Each rise size on this page is one layer only, so a 50 mm (2 in) ramp is made up of the 25 mm, 38 mm and 50 mm layers ordered together. Ask us and we will work out the set for the threshold you have measured.

Key features

  • Rise builds in 12.5 mm (half inch) increments from 25 mm (1 in) to 100 mm (4 in)
  • Rated load 385 kg, suitable for scooters and power wheelchairs with rider
  • Hidden dovetail locking system, no tools needed to assemble
  • Solid rubber, slip-resistant surface, maintenance free
  • Modular: sections can be added later if the threshold changes
  • No fixing to the floor required

Who it suits

A client on a scooter or power chair who is stopped by a sliding door track, a front door sill or a single small step, or a manual wheelchair user who cannot mount a lip unaided. It suits fixed thresholds inside and outside the home. For a step higher than 100 mm, a portable folding or telescopic ramp is the right product instead, and for a rise that must be moved between homes a lighter aluminium threshold ramp is easier to carry.

Good to know

  • Each rise size listed is a single layer; to reach a given height you must also order every layer below it
  • Measure the threshold height at the highest point and tell us the door width
  • Rubber is heavy; the assembled ramp is meant to stay in place rather than travel
  • Check the gradient against the scooter or power chair maker’s maximum climbable slope
