The Homecraft Manoy Contoured Plate is an oval melamine plate with a base that slopes to one end and a raised, curved edge. Food slides down to the low end and the rim stops it going over the side, so it can be scooped with a spoon or fork using one hand. The small plate is 227 x 159 mm and weighs 200 g; the large plate is 279 x 197 mm and weighs 440 g.
It is dishwasher safe up to 82 degrees Celsius but not microwave safe. Being melamine it is hard to chip and light to lift.

Who it suits
A client who eats with one hand, for example after a stroke or with an arm in a cast, or a client with poor coordination who loses food over the edge of a flat plate. The small size suits a child or a smaller appetite. A client who needs to reheat meals on the plate should use a microwave-safe scoop dish instead.
