The Oxford Deluxe Transport sling supports seated transfers and assisted standing work. It suits clients who have a degree of weight bearing ability and enough trunk control to sit without head support.
The sling is fully padded for comfort under load, with a non-slip backing that reduces ride-up during a lift. An adjustable waist strap holds the sling in position while the client comes up. Coloured attachment loops let the carer set and repeat a chosen hip and shoulder position, which helps consistency between staff.
It is made from polyester and attaches by loops, so it works with loop-style spreader bars. There is no head support, so it is not suitable for lifting from a horizontal position, and it is not suitable for double amputees.
