About this product

The OSKA Aria Series 4 is a hybrid pressure care mattress that works without a pump. Interconnected air cells under a pressure-relieving foam topper react each time the client is repositioned, moving air between cells to equalise the load across the body. OSKA rates it as an aid in the prevention and treatment of pressure damage up to category 2, or category 3 when the client is on a turning regime. The mattress is 180 mm deep with a maximum user weight of 230 kg.

There is no power lead, no noise and nothing to set, so it suits home care and respite rooms as well as facilities. The anti-shear cover uses V-Guard technology with welded seams, and the base is rated for fire evacuation, so the client can be slid off the bed on the mattress.

Key features

  • Pumpless self-adjusting air cells under a foam topper
  • Maximum user weight 230 kg
  • 180 mm depth; 880, 1370 and 1520 mm widths, 2000 mm long
  • Heel relief slope to reduce load at the heels
  • Firm side wall support for edge sitting and transfers
  • V-Guard anti-shear cover with welded seams and fire evacuation base
  • Fire tested to BS 5852 Crib 5

Who it suits

A client at moderate risk of pressure injury who needs more than static foam but where an alternating air system with a pump is impractical: a client who is distressed by pump noise, a home without a spare power point at the bed, or a couple sharing a double or queen bed. The 1370 and 1520 mm widths are designed for one occupant with more room to move, not two. A client with an existing category 3 or 4 injury who cannot be turned should be assessed for an alternating air mattress instead.

Good to know

  • Choose the 880 mm width for a standard single hospital bed; check the bed platform before ordering the wider sizes
  • Single occupancy only, whichever width is chosen
  • Cover is removable for laundering; wipe clean with neutral detergent between uses
  • Brochure and user manual are available on request
