The Homecraft Pick-Up Reacher is a general purpose reacher for picking up dropped items, reaching shelves and pulling clothing. The twin jaws have sculptured liners, open to about 75 mm and rotate 360 degrees so the client can grip an item from any angle. A magnet on the jaw picks up pins, keys and paper clips. It is wire operated, so the pull does not fray or stretch over time.
Three lengths are available: standard 60 cm at 215 g, long 75 cm at 235 g and extra long 90 cm at 250 g. The trigger is large enough for several fingers and can be pushed with the palm. It holds items up to about 450 g.

Who it suits
A client who cannot bend or reach after surgery, with arthritis, back pain or reduced balance, and who has enough hand strength to work a trigger. The 60 cm suits use from a chair or bed, the 90 cm suits a tall client standing or a wheelchair user reaching the floor. A client with marked hand weakness should trial the ArthriGrip Pro, which closes with the whole hand.
