Cura1 iBeam Infrared Sensor Beam

Code FM2721

About this product

The Cura1 iBeam is a battery powered infrared movement sensor with a narrow detection field. Set beside a bed or across a doorway, it sends a radio signal to a paired Cura1 receiver when someone passes through the beam, and the alarm sounds at the receiver. The field adjusts up to about 8 m, and the unit runs on three AA batteries for about 6 months of normal use.

Key features

  • Narrow detection field, adjustable to about 8 metres
  • Runs on 3 x AA batteries or a 6 to 12 V DC supply
  • Pause mode while a carer is attending
  • Low battery indicator and on/off switch
  • Wall bracket, screws and double sided tape included

Who it suits

Clients who will not tolerate a sensor pad, pull it off, or move around in bed enough to trigger false alarms, and clients who need a doorway watched at night. The narrow beam is set to cover the bed edge or the door only, so a carer or another person moving elsewhere in the room does not trip it. Common in dementia care at home and in supported accommodation.
