About this product

The Handi-Move 2815 L IR is a ceiling hoist motor that runs on a fixed rail system, with powered travel along the rail and an infrared remote. Because the motor lives on the rail, the floor stays clear, no one has to push a mobile hoist around the bed and the client can operate the lift and the travel themselves if they have the hand function. It suits bedrooms, bathrooms and care facilities where full body hoisting happens daily.

Safe working load is 200 kg with the standard 2000 mm motor band. The motor unit measures 410 x 350 x 210 mm and weighs 21 kg, and the sealed lead acid batteries give about 160 lifts per charge.

Key features

  • 200 kg safe working load with the 2000 mm motor band
  • Powered lateral travel along the rail
  • Infrared remote for independent operation
  • About 160 lifts per charge, around 4 hours to recharge
  • Mechanical emergency lowering, with audible and visual load and battery indicators
  • Takes Handi-Move 2 point or 4 point spreader bars or the Handi-Move Body Support

Who it suits

Clients with high physical support needs who are hoisted several times a day, including those with spinal cord injury, MS, MND or advanced neurological conditions, and anyone who wants to control their own transfer. It reduces carer handling and is often the safer option in a small bathroom.
