About this product

The Molift Air Tilt is a tilting ceiling hoist: a Molift Air motor supplied with an electrically tiltable sling bar that changes the client’s position from the hand control while they are in the sling. The 580 mm sling bar tilts through 75 degrees, so a carer can bring a person from lying to sitting, or recline them for hygiene, without a second pair of hands. Safe working load is 273 kg, hoisting interval 2600 mm and hoisting speed 50 mm per second.

Key features

  • Electrically tiltable sling bar with a 75 degree tilting range
  • Safe working load 273 kg
  • Hoisting interval 2600 mm, hoisting speed 50 mm per second
  • Quick-release coupling for changing sling bars without tools
  • Supplied as hoist unit, hand control and tilt sling bar
  • IP24 rated for use in bathrooms

Who it suits

Consider it for clients with poor trunk control, pain on handling, contractures or a high risk of shear during repositioning, where a fixed sling bar would need the carer to push and pull the person into position. It is common in single carer homes and in care facilities looking to reduce manual handling during bed to chair, shower trolley and toileting transfers.

Good to know

  • Requires installation on a Molift ceiling rail system
  • Uses Molift clip slings with the tilt sling bar
  • The quick-release coupling means other Molift sling bars can be swapped in for different tasks
  • Sealed lead acid battery with a 6 hour charge time
  • Two year warranty
