About this product

The Gilia is a tipping kettle for people who cannot safely lift and pour a full kettle. The 1.5 L jug sits on a 360 degree swivel base and pours by turning and tilting, so the weight of the boiling water is never carried in the hand. Four temperature settings (70, 80, 90 and 100 degrees C) with LED and audible cues cover tea, coffee and formula, and the kettle weighs 1.65 kg empty.

Key features

  • Turn and tilt pouring, no lifting of the kettle
  • 360 degree swivel base with a non-slip silicone pour pad
  • Four temperature settings: 70, 80, 90 and 100 degrees C
  • LED and audible cues when the set temperature is reached
  • Dual water level windows, soft close lid and removable filter
  • BPA-free plastic and stainless steel construction

Who it suits

Prescribe it for clients with reduced grip, upper limb weakness, tremor, arthritis, fatigue or one-handed technique who want to keep making their own hot drinks. It also suits people recovering from a stroke or shoulder surgery, and anyone at risk of scalds from a standard kettle.
