About this product

The Peak Care Swivel Cushion is a two-layer round cushion that rotates through 360 degrees so a client can turn their whole body to face out of a car or chair instead of twisting at the hips and spine. It is 440 mm in diameter and about 40 mm thick, with a non-slip base that stays put on the seat and a quilted top panel for comfort.

At 400 g it goes in a handbag or glovebox for use in any vehicle. The top cover unzips for washing.

  • 440 mm diameter, about 40 mm thick
  • Rotates 360 degrees between the two layers
  • Non-slip base
  • Quilted top panel
  • Removable, washable cover
  • Weighs 400 g

Who it suits

A client with hip precautions after replacement, back pain, arthritis or general stiffness who can transfer with supervision but struggles to lift and turn the legs into a car. It also helps a client turn on a dining chair or bed edge before standing. A client who cannot bear weight through the legs for a pivot transfer needs a transfer board or hoist rather than a swivel cushion.

Good to know

  • No assembly
  • Check the cushion sits flat and does not raise the client too close to the car roof
  • Not to be used while the vehicle is moving; remove it before driving off
