The Cura1 2558 is a wireless emergency call button with an integrated reset, made for wet areas. It is IP65 rated, measures 85 x 85 x 22 mm, and can be fixed beside a toilet, shower or bed. Pressing the button or pulling the removable cord sends a 433 MHz signal up to 50 m to a Cura1 ActiveCare pager or StaffAlert receiver, and a red LED on the unit confirms the call has gone through.
It runs on two replaceable CR2477 3 V lithium cells for one to two years depending on use, with low battery indication and an accessible battery compartment. The call is cleared at the unit with the caregiver reset key.

Who it suits
A client who can recognise they need help and press a button or pull a cord: in a bathroom after a fall, in bed at night, or in a group home or aged care room where staff carry a pager. It requires the client to raise the call, so for a client who wanders or does not recognise risk, a sensor mat or bed sensor that alarms automatically is the better choice.
Good to know
- Needs a Cura1 receiver: an ActiveCare pager, StaffAlert or a cordless multiport expander into an existing nurse call system
- Range depends on walls and building construction
- Manufacturer warranty is 12 months
