About this product

The Cura1 2638 Nurse Call Pendant is a corded push-button call pendant. It plugs into a standard nurse call socket at the bed head and, when pressed, signals the nurse call system in the same way as the built-in call point. It is used where the resident needs a call button within reach on the bed or chair, or where a Cura1 falls monitor is occupying the wall socket and a Y lead is used to add the pendant beside it.

The pendant is light, has a large button that can be pressed with a palm or a weak hand, and can be clipped to bedding or a chair arm. It has no battery.

Key features

  • Corded push-button nurse call pendant
  • Plugs into a standard nurse call point
  • Large button for easy pressing
  • No battery, no charging
  • Can share a call point with a Cura1 falls monitor via a Cura1 Y lead

Who it suits

Residents and patients in a facility with a wired nurse call system who need a call button in the hand rather than on the wall: bed-bound clients, clients with limited reach, or a bed fitted with a falls monitor. It is not a personal alarm for the home; for that a wireless call button and pager set such as the Cura1 4024 kit is the right product.

Good to know

  • Confirm the plug type matches the site’s nurse call sockets before ordering
  • Sold as the pendant only; a Y lead (Cura1 2449) is needed to share a socket with a monitor
  • Wipe clean between residents
