The Cobalt CB12 Floorline Bed is a four-function electric care bed that lowers to 150 mm from the floor to reduce the height of a fall, and rises to 680 mm for carer tasks. The king single takes a 1050 x 1980 mm mattress, is 1090 mm wide and 2110 mm long, and extends by 195 mm at the foot end to 2305 mm for a taller client. Safe working load is 250 kg.
The backrest raises to 65 degrees with auto-regression to reduce sacral shear, the knee break raises to 35 degrees, Trendelenburg and reverse tilt run to 14 degrees, and a single button sets the chair position. It has a manual calf lift, under-bed lighting and four Tente castors. The king single bed weighs 138 kg.

Who it suits
A client with a history of falls from bed, night-time confusion or dementia where bed rails are not appropriate, and a client who needs frequent repositioning in bed or a supported sitting position for meals and breathing. The 250 kg rating and 1050 mm width give room for a larger client or for turning with slide sheets. For a client who transfers independently and does not need the floorline height, a standard home care bed is cheaper and lighter to move; for a client over 250 kg, ask about a bariatric bed.
