The Glide Centro 2.0 is a mid-wheel drive power wheelchair made by Glide in Western Australia. It turns within a 1140 mm circle between walls, climbs kerbs on the patented Active Pozi-Track six-wheel suspension, and carries users up to 175 kg with full AS 3695 compliance. The chair is 620 mm wide across the wheelbase and 900 mm long with the footplate removed, with 80 mm ground clearance. Options include 5 to 57 degree power recline, anterior tilt, a shear reduction backrest, a 300 mm vertical seat lift, power elevating leg rests, and LinX or R-Net electronics with up to 15 memory positions. Who it suits
A client with a long-term, complex mobility need who requires power positioning: tilt for pressure management, recline for tone or fatigue, or a vertical lift for transfers and reach. The mid-wheel layout suits homes and workplaces with tight corners while the suspension keeps it usable on Tasmanian footpaths and kerbs. Custom seating is built through Glide’s assistive technology service. For a client who mainly drives longer distances outdoors and wants rear-wheel tracking, consider a rear-wheel or hybrid drive base instead.
