trixi lets a child move while they stand. Up to 10 degrees of give in every direction means weight shifts, muscles work to correct, and standing becomes an active task rather than a static one. If a rigid stand is what the child needs, the same frame is available rigid, and it can be set up anterior or posterior.
Schuchmann also built an app for it. stixi turns standing time into a game and keeps a standing diary, which is the practical answer to the hardest part of a standing programme: getting a child to tolerate longer sessions, and being able to show a funder what actually happened.
- Height range 650 to 1400 mm, elbow height 480 to 1150 mm
- Tilt up to 10 degrees in all directions
- Maximum user weight 60 kg
- Dynamic or rigid, anterior or posterior configuration
- Flexible knee positioners, three-dimensionally adjustable, spread contact to reduce pressure
- Choice of vest, pelvic support or chest support
- Castors with full locking for safe entry and exit
- Heel edges for a secure stance
- Therapy tray with arm supports, and a mount for an AAC device or the stixi app
- Schuchmann guide: GMFCS levels II to IV
Check the weight limit against growth. At 60 kg, trixi has a shorter working life for an older teenager than till or todd.
Book a trial and we will bring it out with the app running so the child gets a fair go at it.
