The Vicair Active O2 pairs an ergonomically shaped foam base with Vicair SmartCell air compartments. The foam front supports the thighs and keeps the cushion stable during transfers and wheelchair handling. The rear section uses four independent SmartCell compartments over the ischial tuberosities and coccyx, where pressure loading is highest.
The air cells shift under load and redistribute pressure, and each compartment can be adjusted by adding or removing cells to suit the client. This 6 cm version is the lower profile option, which keeps seat height and transfer distance down.
It is used with spinal cord injury, paraplegia and multiple sclerosis, and suits users who self-propel and transfer independently. The cover is breathable and machine washable, with a fluid resistant liner protecting the foam inlay.
