The Alivio Donatello Petite lift recliner from K Care is the smaller version of the Donatello, built for clients who are short in the leg or trunk. The seat is 457 mm wide, 457 mm deep and 457 mm from the floor, and the chair carries up to 158 kg. Four independent motors drive the headrest, lumbar support, backrest and footrest, so the client can lie flat, raise the head while reclined, or set a supported upright posture from the six preset positions on the handset.
The two-stage lift mechanism rises more vertically with only a slight forward tilt, which helps a client who struggles to stand from a standard chair. This model has the lateral support backrest in Merino Steel, a grey woven fabric. The chair measures 851 mm wide, 978 mm deep and 1041 mm high, extends to 1830 mm when fully reclined, and weighs 70 kg.

Who it suits
A shorter client whose feet do not reach the floor in a standard lift chair, and who needs more than a simple recline: pressure relief through lying flat, a headrest that stays supportive when reclined, or lumbar support for kyphosis, lordosis or arthritic back pain. The lateral backrest helps a client who drifts sideways in the chair. A taller client, or one over 158 kg, should be sized into the standard Donatello (KA554) or a bariatric lift chair instead.
