About this product

The Bellavita from Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare is a battery powered bath lift for people who can no longer lower themselves into the bath safely. It sits on the bath floor on four suction feet, takes the user from 480 mm seat height down to 65 mm, and brings them back up at the end. The backrest reclines to 50 degrees, so the user can lie back in the water rather than sit upright. Safe working load is 140 kg.

The whole unit weighs 9.7 kg and splits into two parts without tools, so a carer can lift it out for other household members or take it away for cleaning. The lithium battery hand control is waterproof and floats.

Who it suits

A client who can transfer sideways onto the seat from the bath edge or a transfer bench, with or without help, and who has enough sitting balance to use the flaps as support. It keeps a bath in use where a walk-in shower is not an option, and it is a common choice for Support at Home clients and NDIS participants who want to stay in their existing bathroom.
