The Accora CushionAir is an alternating air cushion kit that replaces the standard foam cushion in a Configura care chair. Air cells inflate and deflate in turn, loading and unloading the skin in cycles rather than relying on immersion alone. It is used in aged care, hospital and home settings where a client spends long periods in the chair and static foam is not offloading enough. Safe working load is 160 kg and it is intended for clients at very high risk or with existing pressure damage.

Who it suits
Clients with an existing pressure injury on the sacrum or ischial tuberosities, or at very high risk from immobility, who already use or are being prescribed a Configura chair. It lets you keep the client seated and out of bed during the day without giving up dynamic pressure care. Not a first line choice for low or moderate risk, where the standard Configura cushion is usually enough.
