About this product

The Endeavour over wide shower chair is a height adjustable shower chair with a fixed backrest and fixed raised arms, built for larger clients who need more room between the arms than a standard chair gives. It is used in the home bathroom and in aged care, where a seated shower with a back and arms is safer than a stool.

The frame is rust resistant steel with six point height adjustment, so the seat can be set to the client’s lower leg length. Smoothed edges make it easy to wipe down and slip resistant feet keep it steady on a wet floor.

Key features

  • Over wide seat with extra room between the arms
  • Six point height adjustment
  • Fixed backrest and raised arms to help with sitting and standing
  • Rust resistant steel frame
  • Slip resistant feet and smoothed edges for cleaning

Who it suits

Clients of larger build who fatigue standing in the shower, or who need a backrest and arms to lower onto and push up from. A common choice where a standard width chair has proved tight across the hips, or where a stool gives no support. Also worth considering where a carer assists with showering and needs the client seated and stable.

Good to know

  • Fixed arms and backrest, not removable
  • Set the seat height to the client before first use and check the chair sits level on the floor
  • A standard width version of the same chair is also available
