About this product

The Homecraft Caring Mug is a two-handled drinking mug for a client who cannot hold a standard cup steadily. It holds 300 mL, has a wide stable base, and two large contoured handles angled so both hands can share the load. A spouted lid with a small opening controls the flow of liquid and reduces spills for a client drinking reclined or with a tremor.

The mug is clear polycarbonate, weighs 176 g, and is dishwasher and microwave safe. It matches the Homecraft Caring Cutlery range.

Key features

  • 300 mL capacity
  • Two large contoured, angled handles
  • Wide, stable base
  • Lid with a spout and small aperture to control flow
  • Clear polycarbonate, 176 g
  • Dishwasher and microwave safe

Who it suits

A client with tremor, arthritis or hemiplegia who needs two hands to lift a drink, and a client in bed or a recliner who cannot tilt the head back fully. A client on thickened fluids or with dysphagia may need a cup with a cut-out or a controlled-flow lid recommended by their speech pathologist rather than a spouted lid.

Good to know

  • Not recommended for boiling water
  • Clear body lets a carer see how much has been drunk
  • Replacement lids may be available on request
