About this product

The Homecraft plastic spread board is a one-handed kitchen aid. A raised lip on two sides stops a slice of bread sliding away while it is buttered, and stainless steel spikes hold a piece of fruit, a vegetable or a roll in place for cutting. The client can then prepare a sandwich or a snack with one hand.

It is moulded plastic, wipes clean and is dishwasher safe. Non-slip feet keep it in place on the bench.

Key features

  • Raised lip on two sides corrals bread for spreading
  • Stainless steel spikes hold food for one-handed cutting
  • Non-slip feet on the underside
  • Moulded plastic, dishwasher safe

Who it suits

A client with hemiplegia after stroke, an arm in a cast or sling, or with severe arthritis in one hand who wants to keep making their own meals. It suits kitchen retraining programmes and home discharge kits. A client who needs to cut larger items such as a loaf or a joint of meat will do better with a full-size spike board with a knife guide.

Good to know

  • No assembly required
  • Spikes are sharp: store with the spiked end away from the bench edge
  • Homecraft code AA5284
