The K Care Grip Handle Bed Pole is a bedside support that sits under the mattress on a flat base and stands up beside the client as a hand hold. The client uses it to roll over, pull up to sitting and steady themselves when standing from the bed. It can be placed on the left or right side and positioned where the client can reach it best.
It is powder coated white and is supplied with a strap to secure the base to the bed frame.

Who it suits
A client who is steady enough to move in bed and stand with a hand hold, for example with early Parkinson’s, general weakness or after hip surgery, and who has a standard bed at home. Check the base sits flat between the mattress and the bed base. A client who is confused or who could become entrapped between the pole and the mattress should be assessed for a safer alternative; a client who needs to be pulled up may do better with a monkey bar or an electric adjustable bed.
