The Malsch Impulse 400 is a profiling healthcare bed built around falls prevention. It lowers to 25 cm from the floor, which reduces injury risk if a client rolls or slides out, and raises to a working height of about 82 cm so carers and therapists can work without stooping.
The frame is anodised aluminium with solid timber handrails and timber panels. This unit is the Bardolino Oak decor in the 800 mm wide mattress base, sometimes called half queen. The look is domestic rather than hospital, which matters where a client is resistant to a clinical bed at home.
Four way electric adjustment profiles the backrest and legrest. Mattress compensation and auto-contour functions reduce shear and sliding as the bed profiles. Reclining surface options include removable ABS panels for fast cleaning, a comfort sprung surface, or metal mesh for ventilation. Side rail options run from none through to fold-down split rails or full length rails.
