The Myco Ultra is a swivel shower chair from Care Quip, with a plastic shell seat that rotates 360 degrees and locks at each 90 degree position. Seat height adjusts from 480 to 560 mm, the chair is rated to 160 kg and weighs 5.5 kg. The seat is 445 mm wide with 480 mm between the integrated arms and a 355 mm high backrest.
The swivel means the client can sit facing out, lock the seat, then turn to face the shower without twisting or stepping. It is used in walk-in showers and, with the right clearance, in shower recesses at home and in aged care.

Who it suits
Clients with limited trunk rotation, hip precautions after surgery, or poor standing balance who cannot safely step and turn in a wet area, and who transfer better sideways from a walker or with a carer’s support. The fixed arms give a push-up point for standing.
