The Oska Fika is a static foam mattress for clients at risk of pressure injury. Layers of pressure-relieving foam with a microclimate top layer support the body, and the foot end has a heel relief slope with Oska’s Offloader function so heels can be suspended with no contact. It is 2000 mm long, 140 mm deep and rated to 159 kg, and it comes in 880, 1070 and 1520 mm widths.
The cover is a four-way stretch, vapour-permeable polyurethane with welded seams and V-Guard protection. It is waterproof, washes at up to 95 degrees and can be tumble dried. A fire evacuation base is built in and the mattress bends to suit profiling beds.

Who it suits
A client at medium risk of pressure injury who spends long periods in bed, or one who has healed a low-grade injury and needs a supportive surface without a pump: for example an older client at home on a Home Care Package or an NDIS participant with reduced mobility who can still reposition with help. A client with an existing category 3 or 4 injury on the trunk, or who cannot move at all, should be assessed for an alternating air system such as the Zephair.
Good to know
- Fits standard single, king single and queen bed frames including electric profiling beds
- No pump or power needed
- Check the frame and rails accommodate a 140 mm mattress depth
- Bed rail height and mattress depth should be checked together for entrapment risk
