The Oxford Comfort Padded Polyester Sling is a contoured general purpose sling that supports the whole body, with padded leg sections that spread pressure across the thighs during the lift. It attaches with Oxford’s patented Securi3 clips to a four-point positioning cradle, so the sling cannot detach part way through a transfer. All five sizes, extra small to extra large, carry a safe working load of 227 kg.
Colour-coded binding shows the size at a glance: brown extra small, red small, yellow medium, green large, blue extra large. Positioning handles help the carer settle the client in a chair, and a modesty loop keeps the leg sections closed.

Who it suits
A client who is hoisted for routine bed, chair and wheelchair transfers on an Oxford clip-attachment hoist, has reasonable head control and finds standard slings dig into the thighs, for example a thin older client or one with hip pain. It does not include head support, so a client with poor head control needs the Oxford Comfort with head support or a full-body sling. For showering, the net version dries faster than polyester.
Good to know
- Clip attachment only: it fits Oxford Presence, Stature and other clip cradle hoists, not loop-yoke hoists
- Size by client height and build using the Oxford sizing chart, not by weight alone
- Follow the label wash instructions; do not tumble dry the clips hot
