The Oxford Full Back Sling is a contoured full-body sling with an integrated, boned head support and padded leg sections as standard. This is the net version, an open-weave polyester that drains and dries quickly, so it can stay on the client through a shower or bath. Loops attach to a loop-style spreader bar and the safe working load is 227 kg in every size.
Colour-coded loops and binding help the carer pick the right size and the right loop position each time, and positioning handles on the back make it easier to settle the client in a chair. A modesty loop is fitted. Wash at up to 85 degrees without bleach and air dry or tumble dry cool.

Who it suits
A client who needs a hoist for all transfers and cannot hold their head or trunk up unaided, for example after stroke, with advanced neurological disease or with severe frailty, where the sling has to stay on through a shower. Sizing is by the coloured binding: small red, medium yellow, large green, extra large blue. For a client with strong extensor tone or spasms the Silvalea Tinkham sling gives firmer containment. For dry transfers the polyester version of the same sling is softer against the skin.
