The portable grab bar is a short handle with a rubber suction cup at each end. Press it onto a smooth, non-porous wall (glazed tile, glass, acrylic or metal) and flip the two locking levers down to set it; flip them up to release and move it. This is the small size; a large size is also available.
It leaves no marks and needs no drilling, so it can be used in rental housing, respite units and hotels. The suction cups need a flat surface without grout lines under them.
Key features
- Two locking suction cups, fitted and released by hand without tools
- Fixes to glazed tile, glass, acrylic and metal surfaces
- Textured non-slip grip
- Small size; a large size is also available
- Lightweight and portable, leaves no marks
Who it suits
A client who needs a light steadying hold when stepping into a shower or turning in it, and who lives in a property where a fixed rail cannot be installed, or who travels. It is a balance aid, not a weight-bearing rail. For a client who pulls up from a shower chair or leans their weight on the rail, or where the wall has small tiles or grout lines, a screw-fixed grab rail is the correct choice.
Good to know
- Check the suction each time before use and re-fit if the indicator shows it has loosened
- Will not hold on painted plaster, textured tile, timber or wallpaper
- Sizing and safe working load to be confirmed with our team before ordering
