Posey Sitter On Cue Pro Fall Alarm Unit

Code FM1119

The Posey Sitter On Cue Pro is a battery powered fall monitor that sounds when a client lifts off a Posey chair, bed or toilet sensor. It pairs with wireless sensors by tapping, connects to nurse call, and suits residential care, hospital and home settings where a carer needs early warning of an unassisted transfer.

About this product

The Posey Sitter On Cue Pro is the alarm unit at the centre of the Posey fall monitoring range. It plugs into any Posey wired sensor, or pairs with the wireless chair pad and toilet sensor using Tap-2-Pair, and sounds when the client’s weight leaves the sensor. The alarm reaches 90 dBA at 1 metre, runs on four AA batteries with a battery life of at least 30 days of daily use, and measures 90 x 150 x 56 mm.

The unit weighs about 0.3 kg without batteries and has an impact resistant cover. It ships with the fall monitor, four AA alkaline batteries and instructions. Sensor pads, the nurse call cable and the optional 8383AC mains adapter are sold separately.

Key features

  • Eight alarm tones, three volume levels, maximum 90 dBA at 1 metre
  • Four alarm modes: voice and tone, tone only, voice only, and mute (mute and voice only need a nurse call connection)
  • Records a custom voice message that plays when the client starts to rise
  • Tap-2-Pair wireless pairing with the Posey wireless chair sensor pad and wireless toilet sensor; the status light turns blue to confirm pairing
  • Up to five sensors can be connected, with one active at a time
  • Hold button pauses monitoring for 30 seconds, or 5 minutes for care tasks
  • Failsafe alarm if a sensor cord is pulled out or a wireless sensor loses pairing
  • Nurse call interface with latching and non-latching modes, plus visual and audible low battery warnings

Who it suits

A client at risk of falls who stands or transfers without calling for help: after a stroke, with dementia, or with impaired safety awareness after surgery. Because the alarm is wireless it can sit anywhere in the room rather than being tied to a nurse call outlet, which suits both facilities and private homes. If the carer is in another part of the house and needs to be alerted at a distance, a pager based system such as the Cura1 Home Care Wireless Pager Kit is a better choice.

Good to know

  • Only Posey sensors can be used; other brands may damage the unit and void the warranty
  • Sensor pads have a fixed service life and are consumables: Posey chair and bed sensors are rated for 6 months
  • Manufacturer warranty is 4 years from date of manufacture
  • An optional mains adapter (8383AC, 9 V DC) can replace the batteries for permanent installations
