The ProSling Hygiene with Head Support is a toileting sling for clients who need their head supported during the lift. It leaves the area from mid back to mid thigh open so clothing can be adjusted on the commode or toilet, and adds a buckle waist strap for security, padding under the arms and around the midsection, and 3 mm quilted foam in the leg and head sections. Safe working load is 205 kg in medium and 300 kg in large and extra large. Shoulder width covers 700 to 850 mm (medium), 830 to 1020 mm (large) and 900 to 1100 mm (extra large).
The fabric is quick-drying 100 per cent polyester mesh that can be washed at up to 85 degrees for infection control. The loop straps are colour coded by size and give three attachment positions to set the sitting angle. It fits yoke frame (spreader bar) hoists only, including Molift, Oxford and most floor and ceiling hoists.

Who it suits
A client who is hoisted for toileting, can sit with support but has poor head or trunk control, so the standard hygiene sling would not hold them safely. It is a sitting-only sling: the client must be seated to put it on, and it must not be used as a general purpose sling for bed or floor lifts. For a client who needs a full-length sling or who cannot tolerate the open hygiene aperture, refer to the ProSling General Purpose with Head Support instead. An assessment is required before use.

- Size by shoulder width and sacrum to top of head; if between sizes, choose the smaller unless the client is growing
