The R82 Meerkat Chest Support is an accessory for the R82 Meerkat dynamic standing frame. A padded strap wraps the chest and closes with a buckle at the front, and a ratchet system tightens it so the support can be adjusted with the child already standing in the Meerkat. It slides onto the Meerkat centre column like the other Meerkat supports. Thrive lists four sizes, small to X-large, covering chest circumferences from 450 to 1100 mm.
Small (869480) fits 450 to 600 mm, medium (869481) 600 to 700 mm, large (869482) 700 to 900 mm and X-large (869483) 900 to 1100 mm. An optional padding kit (117818-PAD) fits over the ratchet straps of both the chest and pelvic supports.

Who it suits
A child standing in a Meerkat who needs trunk support above the pelvic support to stay upright, for example a child with cerebral palsy or low tone who can bear weight but cannot hold the trunk steady for a full standing session. Measure the chest circumference at the widest point and choose the size that covers it. A child with good trunk control who only needs pelvic stability may not need the chest support at all.
