The Redgum Folding Blanket Support is a bed cradle that holds sheets and blankets clear of a person’s legs and feet. It sits on the mattress under the bedding at the foot of the bed and takes the weight of the covers, so nothing presses on sore feet, dressings or a cast. Extended it measures 510 mm long, 460 mm wide and 560 mm high, and it can be set at 350 mm or 460 mm wide by turning it end for end.
It weighs 2 kg, supports up to 10 kg of bedding and folds flat to 560 x 460 x 60 mm, so it lifts out when the bed is made and stores under the bed or in a cupboard between uses.

Who it suits
A client whose legs or feet cannot tolerate the weight of bedding: peripheral neuropathy, gout, ulcers, burns, post-surgical dressings, a cast, or restless legs. It also helps a client with foot drop who needs the covers off the toes overnight. It is a free-standing cradle rather than a fixed one, so on a very restless client or a bed with a thin mattress a bolt-on blanket support that clamps to the bed frame may hold position better.
