The Spex basic neoprene calf strap runs across the back of the calves to keep the lower legs forward of the footplates and in a stable position. It is the entry option in the Spex calf support range.
It suits users whose legs drift backwards under the seat, where the problem is position rather than pressure. The neoprene pad is soft and water resistant, holds its shape and spreads load across the calf rather than cutting into a narrow band.
The strap fastens behind the support and is adjustable, so depth can be tuned as leg position or footplate setting changes. It mounts to the wheelchair frame without needing dedicated hardware.
Where the user has fragile skin, spends long periods in the chair, or needs more offloading, consider the padded version with pressure reducing foam infill, or the wider calf panel.
