The Oxford Journey is a powered sit to stand hoist for clients who have some weight bearing ability but cannot stand unaided. The client places their feet on the tray, the standing sling goes around the trunk and onto the loop hooks, and the lifter raises them to standing so a carer can adjust clothing, toilet them or move them to a chair. It folds without tools to 1040 x 680 x 525 mm, which lets it travel in a car and store in a cupboard.
Safe working load is 155 kg. The lift range at the hooks is 720 to 1530 mm, the chassis is 680 mm wide with the legs closed and opens to 970 mm externally. Unit weight is 40.2 kg.

Who it suits
Clients with partial weight bearing and enough trunk control and grip to hold the handles, often after stroke, with Parkinson’s disease or in later stage frailty, where a full sling hoist is not yet needed. It keeps the client active in the transfer and makes toileting far simpler than a seated hoist.
