The Configura Bariatric Chair is an electric riser recliner with tilt in space, rated to 254 kg. It brings the Configura adjustment range to bariatric seating: seat width, seat depth and postural supports can all be set to the client rather than the client fitted to the chair.
Tilt, backrest and legrest run on independent motors, so tilt can be used for pressure redistribution and postural control without changing hip or knee angle. The recline mechanism is designed to limit shear across the back, which helps keep the pelvis in position through the movement.
This variant is upholstered in black vinyl, which wipes down for shared or high-turnover settings. Backrest and armrest options are interchangeable, including adjustable pillow backrests and lateral supports, and the seat can take a client’s own pressure cushion using the integrated overlay. Castors are fitted for moving the chair within a room.
