The Raz Angle and Depth Adjustable Moulded Footplates (Z7ADM) replace the standard fixed footplates on a Raz mobile shower commode. Each plate adjusts for plantarflexion and dorsiflexion and slides fore and aft over a 100 mm (4 in) range, so the foot can be set flat and supported when the client’s ankle range or leg length does not suit the standard plate. Adjustment is by a single screw on each plate.
They fit the standard Raz swing-away footrest hangers, so the footrests still swing in and out and lift off for transfers. Sold as a pair.
Key features
- Angle adjusts for plantarflexion and dorsiflexion
- Fore and aft adjustment range of 100 mm (4 in)
- Single screw adjustment per plate
- Moulded plastic plate with a drainage-friendly surface for the shower
- Fits Raz AP, SP, AT, CAT, ART, Zum, AP600, SP600 and AT600 footrest hangers
Who it suits
A client on a Raz commode with a fixed ankle position, a plantarflexion contracture, leg length discrepancy or a knee that needs the foot brought forward or back to sit without pressure under the thigh. It is the usual choice for a client with cerebral palsy or after stroke where a flat fixed plate leaves the foot unsupported. A client with a knee flexion contracture that needs the calf supported as well is better served by the Raz elevating leg rest, which has its own angle and depth adjustable footplate.
Good to know
- Fits Raz footrest hangers only; not a universal footplate
- A neoprene cover (Z7NCA) is available for these plates to give a softer, warmer surface
- Footrest height still adjusts on the hanger, 16 to 20.5 in (405 to 520 mm) from the seat on standard Raz hangers
- Sold as a pair
