The Forte Aurea Modulated is a dual density foam mattress for a client at medium risk of pressure injury (Waterlow up to 15). The top layer is modulated (castellated) open-cell foam cut in three zones, with larger modules under the sacrum and smaller ones under the shoulders and heels, so the body immerses where it needs to while the foam stays supportive. Under it is a premium firm foundation layer to stop bottoming out during transfers and in the sat-up position, and the sides are ultra-high density foam with a hinge profile so the mattress follows an adjustable bed. This size is a 980 mm wide king single, 150 mm deep, with a therapeutic weight range of 40 to 180 kg.
The cover is the Advantiflex Classic: a blue four-way stretch, vapour permeable PU top, a grey waterproof heavy duty base, a 180 degree two-sided zip with a waterfall flap and all seams high frequency welded. It wipes clean with disinfectant to 1,000 ppm. Warranty is 5 years on the foam core and 2 years on the cover.

Who it suits
A client at medium risk of pressure injury who can reposition with some help, in home care, aged care or a hospital bed, and who needs a firm enough surface to sit up and transfer from. The 980 mm width suits a king single adjustable bed platform that is narrower than the standard 1050 mm. A client at high or very high risk, or one who cannot reposition at all, needs an alternating air mattress or a high risk foam mattress rather than this one.
