The Motion Composites Veloce is a folding active wheelchair built around a one-piece T700 carbon fibre frame. Transport weight is 5.4 kg for the frame and the lightest complete configuration is 8.8 kg, with a 120 kg user weight limit (159 kg with the heavy duty kit). Seat widths run from 355 to 560 mm (14 to 22 in), seat depths from 355 to 510 mm (14 to 20 in), and front seat-to-floor heights from 355 to 535 mm.
The chair folds side to side with the footrest folding automatically with the frame, so nothing has to be removed to put it in a car boot. Every chair is built to script: the frame angle, rear axle position, camber, back height and angle are all set for the client and can be adjusted later.

Who it suits
An active self-propeller, for example with paraplegia, lower limb amputation or spina bifida, who drives or flies regularly and wants a chair that folds without losing the responsiveness of a rigid frame. The wide seat height and centre of gravity range also make it a good fit for a client with good trunk control who wants to tune the chair over time. A client who transfers with a hoist or needs tilt, a high back or postural seating is better served by a configured folding chair such as the Helio C2 or a tilt-in-space chair.
