Spex Direct Mount hardware is the simplest back support mount in the Spex range. It fixes the back support straight to the wheelchair back canes at two points with no angle or depth mechanism in between, which keeps the back close to the canes and the hardware light at 0.6 kg. Overall width adjusts by 50 mm and it fits cane diameters from 19 to 26 mm.
Safe working load is 136 kg with 16 inch and larger back supports, and 90 kg with 10 to 15 inch back supports.

Who it suits
A client whose seating prescription is settled and whose back support will stay on the chair permanently. It suits chairs where every millimetre of seat depth counts and there is no need to remove the back for folding or car transport.
