The Ikon Enduro Powerlite (IK2PCS) is a side-folding power wheelchair with a carbon fibre frame. It weighs 13.2 kg without the battery and 15.8 kg with it, folds to 820 x 275 x 770 mm, and is rated for users up to 140 kg on flat ground. Two 250 W brushless motors drive it at up to 6 km/h, and the 24 V 10 Ah lithium-ion battery gives a range of up to 18 km.
Unfolded it measures 1045 mm long, 555 mm wide and 885 mm high, with a 460 mm wide seat set 490 mm from the floor and a 1080 mm turning circle. The joystick controller has an LCD display and mounts on either side, the backrest folds down with a storage pocket behind it, and the armrests lift for side transfers. The battery is aeroplane safe and an attendant remote control is included.

Who it suits
A client who walks short distances but cannot manage a shopping centre, an outing or a holiday, and who needs a chair a partner can lift into a car boot without a hoist or ramp. It suits community access, travel and flights rather than all-day use. It has a fixed sling seat with no tilt, recline or pressure care seating, so a client who sits in the chair for most of the day, or who needs postural support, should be scripted a full power wheelchair instead.
