About this product

The Quickie Q50 R Carbon is a folding powerchair with a carbon fibre frame that weighs 14.5 kg without batteries. It folds to 370 x 570 x 767 mm with the battery still fitted, so it goes into a car boot in one piece. Range is 12 km on one battery or 24 km with a second, top speed is 6 km/h, and the chair is rated to 136 kg.

The 24 V 10 Ah lithium-ion battery weighs 1.4 kg and is IATA approved for air travel. The seat is 440 mm wide and 420 mm deep, with a 570 mm overall width and an 800 mm turning radius for tight indoor spaces.

Who it suits

Clients who need powered mobility for community access but travel by car with a partner or support worker who has to lift the chair, and clients who fly. It suits people with good sitting balance and standard seating needs; it is a lightweight travel chair, not a complex rehab base, so clients needing tilt, custom seating or long daily ranges should look at a full size powerchair.

  • One battery is standard; a second battery doubles the range to 24 km
  • 165 mm front castors and 210 mm rear drive wheels
