The PDG Eclipse is a rigid bariatric chair, built on a steel frame and rated to 454 kg. It is made for people who need a wider, stronger seating base without giving up the ability to self-propel. Extended castor positioning shifts weight back over the rear wheels, which makes hand propulsion noticeably easier at these seat widths, and the frame also suits foot propulsion.
The seat frame is adjustable through a wide range of widths and depths, back angle can be set at 85, 90, 95 or 100 degrees, and front rigging adjusts tool free with a single lever. Desk-length armrests keep the chair usable at a table. An optional 30 degree manual dynamic recline is available where a change of position through the day is part of the plan. The Eclipse is transit tested to WC-19 and ISO 7176-19.
