The Avanti Care Sling is a general purpose sling with a basic-shape head support, cut with an enlarged commode opening so clothing can be managed for toileting while the client stays in the sling. This version is in mesh, which drains and dries quickly for showering. Attachment is Avant’s loop-less Safety-Slot system, a slim, light, high tensile strap that fits standard yoke hoists, and the range is rated up to 320 kg safe working load.
Each sling has a unique serial number and non-fading woven labels for tracking and audits, and it washes at up to 85 degrees. Monogramming is available for facilities.

Who it suits
A client who needs full body and head support during hoisted transfers and is being moved to a commode, shower chair or toilet, for example a client with advanced MS, stroke or dementia who cannot hold their head or trunk. The commode opening means one sling covers the day’s transfers. A client with good head control who is only moving bed to chair can use a general purpose sling without head support, and a client with a fresh sacral wound may be better in a padded polyester sling that spreads load over the thighs.
