About this product

This bariatric 3-in-1 commode is a heavy-duty steel frame with a wide seat, padded arms and a removable pan with lid. Used beside the bed it is a commode; placed over the toilet with the pan removed it is an over-toilet aid; and the arms give push-up support either way. The legs adjust for height with push-button clips so the seat can be set to match the client’s toilet or their sit-to-stand height.

The frame is powder coated steel and the seat is a wide moulded plastic ring with a lid. The pan lifts out from above for emptying and the splash guard fits when the frame sits over a toilet.

Key features

  • Three uses: bedside commode, over-toilet frame, toilet surround
  • Bariatric width seat and frame
  • Height-adjustable legs with push-button clips
  • Padded armrests for push-up support
  • Removable pan with lid and splash guard
  • Powder coated steel frame

Who it suits

A larger client who needs a wider seat and a higher safe working load than a standard commode, and who cannot reach the toilet at night or needs a raised, supported toilet seat by day. Measure hip width seated with clothing and compare it to the width between the arms. A client who needs to be wheeled to the toilet or into the shower needs a mobile shower commode, and a client with a very small bathroom may not have room for an over-toilet frame of this width.

Good to know

  • Confirm the safe working load with us before prescribing; ask for the current specification sheet
  • Assembly required on delivery
  • Check the over-toilet fit: clearance around the cistern and room to bring the frame in
  • Funding: NDIS, Home Care Packages and Support at Home, DVA or private
