The Breezy RubiX2 XL is the heavy duty version of Sunrise Medical’s RubiX2 folding wheelchair. It is built for larger users, with a reinforced aluminium frame rated to 170 kg and seat widths up to 60 cm.
Despite the capacity it stays a folding cross brace chair, so it fits a car boot and handles the usual home and transport tasks a rigid bariatric frame cannot.
The chair is adjustable rather than fixed. Seat height, seat depth and seat angle can be set, and the axle plate allows the rear wheel position to be changed for centre of gravity and for propelling efficiency. Castor forks accept 0, 3 and 6 degree adjustment so the chair can be kept square after a seat height change. That gives an OT room to configure the chair to the client rather than accept a stock setup.
Armrest and footrest options include a wider rounded front armrest and an elevating legrest with a cast aluminium housing. This listing is the fixed backrest build: the chair is also made with other back options, so specify at enquiry.
