The Cura1 Economy Floor Sensor Mat lies on the floor beside a bed, chair or doorway and triggers an alarm on the connected Cura1 4017 Economy Falls Monitor the moment someone stands on it. It gives a carer warning that a person at risk of falls is up and moving. The single fold mat is 910 x 610 mm and folds in half to 455 x 610 mm; the dual fold mat is 1200 x 600 mm and folds to 400 x 600 mm. Both work reliably for users from 30 to 200 kg.
The mat is a heavy-duty non-slip material with low-profile edges to reduce the trip hazard, and it wipes clean. It is supplied with a 3 m 4150 USB-A break cord that pulls apart if someone catches it. It is engineered for a 12 month operating life and should be replaced at that point.

Who it suits
A client at high falls risk who gets up from bed or a chair without calling: dementia, delirium, post-operative confusion or night-time toileting. It suits a home carer or a care facility with the Economy monitor. Because it alarms only when the person has already stood, a client who falls on standing may be better served by a bed sensor pad, which alerts as they sit up or move to the edge.
