About this product

The EasyBelt Hug is a waist worn transfer belt from the SystemRoMedic range. It is used for sit to stand, for short seated transfers between wheelchair, bed, toilet and car, and for support while the client is standing or walking.

The Hug version differs from the classic EasyBelt in its handle design. The handles slide, so as the carer takes the load the belt draws in around the client rather than pulling at one fixed point. That spreads the force and gives the client a more secure feel during the lift.

The belt is nylon with a moisture repellent polyurethane coating, so it wipes down between clients. A wipeable variant is also made for settings with higher infection control requirements.

  • Safe working load 170 kg across all sizes
  • Sizes XS to XL, waist range from 45 to 70 cm (XS) up to 115 to 175 cm (XL)
  • Three to seven handles depending on size
  • Nylon with moisture repellent polyurethane coating
  • Sliding handle design

The belt is an assisted transfer aid, not a lifting sling, and the client must be able to bear some weight. SupportStraps can be added as a leg harness where extra support is needed. Book a trial to check fit and technique with the carer team.
