Homecraft Caring Cutlery has a thick, rounded ivory plastic handle on a stainless steel head. The shape of the handle gives the fingers something to close around rather than pinch, so it takes less grip strength and less wrist movement to eat. The ivory colour looks like ordinary tableware on the table.
Each piece is sold separately: knife, fork, spoon, teaspoon and a right-handed spoon with an angled bowl for a client who cannot turn the wrist to the mouth. All pieces are dishwasher safe.

Who it suits
A client with arthritis, reduced hand strength, tremor or limited forearm rotation who can still bring food to the mouth with a larger handle. The right-handed spoon suits a client whose wrist supination is limited. For a client with a very weak grip who cannot hold any handle, look at cutlery with a hand strap or a universal cuff instead.
