The Max Mobility Alpha WC-ALH is a single-point adjustable walking cane. The aluminium shaft adjusts from 740 to 970 mm overall, the cane weighs about 355 g and the safe working load is 120 kg. The handle is made by double-injection moulding, so a soft grip layer is bonded to a firm core rather than glued on.
A 19 mm rubber ferrule is fitted. Six colours are available: black, blue, brown, green, grey and red.

Who it suits
A client with mild balance or one-sided weakness who needs light support and can bear weight through the hand, for example after a knee or hip replacement or with early arthritis. Set the height so the handle sits at the wrist crease with the arm relaxed. A client who leans heavily or has a painful grip does better with a quad base cane or an arthritic palm-shaped handle such as the Alpha WC-AAL.
